The design firm is a small, full-scale residential Interior Design studio based in Houston, Texas. They are currently seeking a full-time Design Assistant to support the Principal designer/owner with all aspects of the design process, including managing and coordinating all projects and assisting with office management and administration. Must thrive in a small team environment.
• Assist Principal Designer/Owner in sourcing materials for design projects, including furniture, fabrics, finishes, and accessories
• Create floor plans and manage client presentation boards as project develops
• Coordinate deliveries and pickups. Run firm-related errands as needed, including picking up samples, making deliveries, and coordinating with vendors
• Place orders for samples and marketing materials, and maintain and organize the sample library
• Manage ongoing vendor relations and communications, including maintaining all trade accounts and assisting with quotes and scheduling
• Create schedules for all projects; Maintain client inventory and materials for project
• Input all client information into Design Manager software for proposals and track products through to installation
• Coordinate and manage all installations
• Assist in photoshoots
• Oversee administrative tasks and assist in office organization
