We currently need an experienced valid D licenced driver to operate our company trucks with automatic transmission.

We are an Ontario distributor specializing in LTL palletized freight.

95% of our loads are to and from our Woodbridge distribution centre.

Equipment:

• Straight truck 26ft box with tailgate and automatic transmission

Hours:

Full-time 40 to 60 hours per week

Duties include:

• Loading and unloading of trucks, using pallet jacks, electric walkies or forklifts
• Safe and timely deliveries to local delivery destinations, mostly dock to dock and the occasional tailgate unloading
• Daily vehicle inspection and filling out of appropriate documents
• Contacting customers to arrange and confirm delivery times
• Assisting in the warehouse when required
• Some hand-bombing may be required

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Must have valid Ontario D or DZ Class license and provide clean abstract (current within 30 days). Solid knowledge of the GTA and surrounding areas.
• Must be able to lift 55lbs on a regular basis and willing to work in all types of weather safely loading and unloading deliveries.
• Excellent communications skills and sound judgement.
• Ensuring that every customer is treated in the same fair and consistent manner by remaining professional both in conduct and appearance.

 

• Follow all paperwork procedures related to the delivery and pick-up of products.
• Professional appearance and mannerism
• Previous local LTL pickup and delivery experience
• Experienced in operating pallet jacks, tailgate, and other related equipment.
