The Operations & Facilities Management Department at WashU Medicine is committed to delivering a comprehensive range of services to support the medical campus. We oversee maintenance and operations for 65 buildings, covering more than 11.1 million gross square feet of space. This includes the 11-story, 609,000-square-foot neuroscience research building, which houses one of the world's highest concentrations of neuroscientists. Our responsibilities include operational and administrative support, strategic planning, and project management. Furthermore, as the School of Medicine continues to expand its presence both on and off campus in areas such as teaching, clinical care, and research, our team remains instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of clinical care, advancing research initiatives, and facilitating educational endeavors. Responsible for all facilities-related operations at WashU Medicine.
Operators monitor several different building automation software and three unique fire alarm software to support the 24/7 operation of researchers and campus community partners. Provides emergency response to A/BSL3 laboratories, vivariums, data centers, climate rooms, freezer farms, and other various campus assets. In the event of degraded infrastructure, functions as dispatch for Facilities Engineering skilled trades to support the timely repair of degraded building systems during off-shifts.

$25.47 - $39.49 / Hourly. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
