Compounding Pharmacy Technician- Fairfax, VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Days (Mon - Fri) / No Weekends
Healthcare Setting: Compounding Pharmacy
Compound sterile and non-sterile medications according to Master Formulation Records (MFRs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients using calibrated equipment.
Maintain a sterile environment following USP <795> , <797> , and <800> standards.
Complete precise compounding logs and batch records.
Adhere to Virginia Board of Pharmacy regulations and compliance protocols.
Assist in inventory control and equipment maintenance.
Participate in quality assurance and inspection readiness.
Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to support prescription workflows.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; formal pharmacy technician training preferred.
Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
National certification (PTCB or NHA) strongly preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding.
Knowledge of USP <795> , <797> , and <800> regulations.
