Job Description
We are looking for a motivated professional with a minimum of 3 years estimating experience in commercial painting and/or wallcovering who can accurately prepare bids, manage deadlines, and contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial painting and wallcovering projects
- Perform material take-offs and calculate labor, material, and equipment costs
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to ensure competitive and profitable bids
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walk-throughs as required
- Track bid results and assist with project turnover to operations team
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial painting and/or wallcovering estimating experience (required)
- Strong knowledge of industry practices, materials, and installation methods
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
- Experience with estimating software such as Planswift, OST, etc and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be within a short manageable commute to the office
