About The Role Capitol Advisors on Technology is seeking CLASS Reviewer Consultants responsible for gathering and understanding data from Head Start programs across the country. They observe, document, and code teacher-child interactions. CLASS Reviewer Consultants must complete all required virtual training before participating in reviews to familiarize themselves with monitoring processes, protocols, reporting systems, and resources. They must also participate in and successfully complete a virtual dual coding event, coding alongside and receiving feedback from a CLASS Dual Coder to establish reliability. Availability of at least two weeks per month is required, with peak reviews from October to May. Consultants will participate in various Teachstone activities, such as calibrations, webinars, refreshers, and one-on-one calls throughout the review season. Applicants must upload a current Pre-K CLASS Observer certificate issued by Teachstone in the Additional Files section of their application. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. What You’ll Do Complete all virtual training to understand monitoring processes and protocols. Collaborate with a diverse team to conduct monitoring reviews under the leadership of the CLASS Lead. Conduct classroom observations following the OHS CLASS Field Guide and guidance provided. Collect and enter data accurately. Stay updated on changes affecting the use of the Manual and protocols. Keep informed of federal rules and regulations related to Head Start programs. Required Skills Ability to follow the OHS CLASS Methodology and policies. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders. Proficiency with virtual platforms and online systems. Skill in observing, documenting, and coding interactions. Effective communication skills. Customer-focused and professional demeanor. Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Valid driver’s license. Ability to travel and have necessary technology onsite, if applicable. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for long periods. Visual and auditory acuity for observations. Ability to travel independently, if applicable. Other Skills Flexibility and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Objective data gathering. Proficiency with technology. Ability to adhere to schedules. Background check clearance. Required Experience/Qualifications Current Pre-K CLASS certification issued by Teachstone, with at least one year of classroom observation experience. 2-5 years of experience in early childhood education or related fields.
