A hospital is seeking a child neurologist for locum tenens coverage.

The facility uses Epic for documentation. The assignment requires clinic hours two days per week from 8 AM to 10 AM for urgent consults, which are part of the assigned call week. Hospital coverage includes ED, PICU, floor, and NICU consults from 7 AM to 10 PM. The provider will take call one week per month from 7 AM to 10 PM, with an average of 10-15 calls per day, around 30% of which occur after 6 PM. Clinic and hospital patient volume ranges from 7 to 15 patients per day. Rounding on inpatient Child Neurology consults is required, and residents provide support. Hospitalists handle admissions. The facility prefers a licensed candidate and is open to permanent placements. Credentialing takes approximately 120 days.
