Cable Assembly / Solder Technician

Shift: M – F from 8:00 – 4:30 (May vary based on production needs)
Pay rate: $17 - $18 based on experience.

Looking for an experienced cable assembly/repair tech & PCB repair (Solder).

Responsibilities
• Repair, rebuild and splice all types of audio/visual cables.
• Troubleshoot cables and ability to hand solder connectors (solid & braided).
• Follow diagrams to produce custom wire & cable assemblies.
• May need to route wires, assembles and electronic components.
• Able to follow hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions.
• Operate hand tools including crimp presses, wire twisters and wire strippers.
• Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
• Use of a solder iron to solder wires to switches or connectors.
• Keep the work area organized and clean to improve productivity.
• Prior wire harness assembly experience highly preferred.
• Assist in other areas when needed.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in wire harness assembly is preferred.
• Experience in reading and understanding cable assembly drawings and be able to cut, strip, solder, poke, and crimp wires.
• PCB assembly/production experience and a strong mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Micro soldering skills are a plus (SMT & Through hole).
• Motivated, detail oriented and production minded.
• Attention to detail, excellent hand dexterity.
• Possesses good communication skills and a great attitude.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish colored wires for accurate assembly purposes.
• Excellent communication skills.
