Billing and Credentialing Specialist: Full-Time Position.
OnSpot Dermatology is looking for a REMOTE Full-Time Billing & Credentialing Specialist to join our growing dermatology practice! This person would be responsible for working on OnSpot’s Revenue Cycle function including charges, payment posting, accounts receivables, and maintaining active status for all providers by successfully completing initial and subsequent credentialing packages as required by hospitals, surgery centers, commercial payers, Medicare and Medicaid.

OnSpot brings its services to companies and communities in Southwest, Central and Eastern Florida. Our mobile medical vehicles include a reception/waiting area, private exam rooms, custom surgical suites, and a fully integrated Mohs clinical and histopathology workflow. Hydraulic stabilizers, HVAC, wheelchair lifts and 360-degree rotating Midmark exam chairs ensure accessibility while maximizing comfort. Utilizing the latest technology, our mobile medical vehicles are outfitted with Far-UVC light which efficiently and safely inactivates airborne human coronaviruses.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Revenue Cycle Manager and billing staff to identify and resolve any denials or authorization issues related to provider credentialing
Send out insurance claims to Payers
Perform follow up on all outstanding accounts assigned in accordance with established policies and procedures
Place outbound calls to Insurance companies for status of outstanding claims
Analyze Remittance/Explanation of Benefits
Maintain individual provider files to include up to date information needed to complete the required governmental and commercial payer credentialing applications
Work to create new contracts with insurance payers. For example, OnSpot is currently working to get into AvMed.
Update each provider’s CAQH database file timely according to the schedule published by CMS
Apply for and renew annually all provider licenses; Professional, DEA, Controlled Substance
Complete credentialing applications to add providers to commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid
Credential new providers and re-credential current providers
Maintain accurate provider profiles on CAQH, PECOS, NPPES, and CMS databases
