Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $40.82 per hour plus benefits

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required: - High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Vocational School
- Or any combination of related education, experience and training
Preferred: - Bachelors degree in Spanish, communications, world languages, Hispanic Studies or related field
JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective: Translates a variety of written materials, both informal and academic, from English into Spanish. Interprets for Spanish-speaking individuals needing to communicate verbally with District 6 personnel.
Qualifications: Applicant must have excellent proficiency in translating English into Spanish, both written and oral; Good communication and organizational skills; Ability to perform all functions of the position; Computer - Word, Google and Excel.
Essential Functions: - Translates district-wide written instructions and other communications from English to Spanish, including parent communications, staff communications, flyers, brochures, website content, social media posts, signage and other documents including agendas, meeting minutes, academic documents and others
- Create documents and other digital communication that meets the Web content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0
- Provides interpreting services for the Central Administration Office, including answering phone calls in Spanish, attending meetings to interpret for Spanish-speaking attendees, speaking in-person to visitors at the Central Administration Building, and interacting with families, students and community members
- Performs some clerical duties including composing letters and memos in English and Spanish, posting to the website and social media, reviewing materials for clarity and accuracy, and assisting with other duties as assigned
- Attends professional development activities, including seminars, classes, conferences, and workshops
- Ability to occasionally work a flexible schedule to attend night and weekend events

- Prefers a work environment where flexibility, ability to deal with conflict, a high tolerance for stress, an ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions, and long hours are a part of the assignment
