POSITION TITLE: Automotive Service Writer

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

DEPARTMENT: Service

POSITION SUMMARY: The Automotive Service Writer acts as the liaison between customers and the service department to ensure timely and accurate service and build customer relationships.

Essential Job Functions for Automotive Service Writer:

• Provides helpful, friendly and respectful customer service with a We Can Do That attitude.
• Combines advanced automotive knowledge with strong leadership skills to effectively collaborate with the service technician team to ensure best in class service to customers.
• Builds strong customer relationships to generate repeat customers.
• Creates work schedules and manages service center workflow.
• Leads and mentors junior technicians to assist in their growth and development.
• Road tests vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Secondary Job Functions:

• Cross train in other areas as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Position Requirements for Automotive Service Writer:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• ASE Certifications and/or a technical school degree are preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills

Salary Description


$20.00 to $25.00 plus incentives
