This is an entry-level accounting position with a Cincinnati based consulting and public accounting firm. The is a full-time position that affords a great deal of responsibility and client interaction, as well as exposure to a wide variety of engagements.

The associate accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare tax returns for a diversified client base (Individual, LLC, partnership, corporation, etc.), including federal, states and cities; process year-end payroll and other tax forms for clients.
• Assist in the preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements under GAAP and other accepted accounting methods.
• Researching IRS regulation and GAAP Guidelines as appropriate.
• Assist to develop budgets for clients for the upcoming accounting period; prepare budgets versus actual and financial ratios analysis.
• Keep books for companies, includes but not limited to data entry, AP/AR processing, depreciation schedules, bank and credit card reconciliation.
• Resolve issues from notices received from IRS and state local departments of income taxation

Position requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
