Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Columbia, Maryland, and requires an individual with strong attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As part of the role, you will handle a variety of tasks central to accounts payable operations, ensuring seamless financial processes. This is a remote opportunity with equipment provided for your convenience.
Responsibilities:
• Investigate and resolve outstanding cash payments to ensure accurate financial records.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to address payment inquiries and discrepancies.
• Process and code invoices efficiently, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of organization.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide updates on financial progress and issues.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Adapt to the needs of the shipping and logistics industry, applying relevant knowledge and experience.
• Report financial updates and progress directly to the board as required.
