Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

• The Assembler I, under direct supervision, uses a variety of tools, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble and test medical devices.
• This position requires a high level of precision and attention to detail, as the work involves small part assembly and extensive use of a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Quality System.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Project Engineer/Supervisor.
• Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with microscopes.
• Small part assembly skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of high volume small part assembly with microscope experience.
• Ability to work with a microscope for 90% of the shift.
• Able to work with small parts, including inspecting various raw materials and assembling catheters.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical device assembly experience is a plus.
• Cleanroom experience is a plus.

Additional Information:

• All candidates MUST be open to Overtime during the weekdays and open to working Saturdays when needed.
• Overtime can start an hour BEFORE the shift time.
• 5:45am start time

Pay:

• Assembler I: $19.50 (1 year of manufacturing w/microscope)
• Assembler II: $20.00-$21.00 (2 years of medical device assembly experience with microscope)

Work Environment

• This role is in a manufacturing environment, with work performed in the cleanroom 100% of the time in close stations.
• Candidates must be open to working during the weekdays and occasional Saturdays as needed.
• The position may require starting an hour before the regular shift time.

Job Type & Location

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00
